The following agreement is made between Dawn Robbins, hereafter referred to as the “Breeder” and _____________________________, hereafter referred to as the “Purchaser”, for the purchase of one Canadian Kennel Club Labrador Retriever/Miniature Pinscher.
The pup is sold with dew claws removed, tail docked (min pins), de-wormed, vaccinated according to age and micro-chipped. The pup is guaranteed by the Breeder until 2 years of age against congenital/hereditary defects such as heart conditions, eye conditions, etc. In the case of a congenital or hereditary defect, the pup will be replaced with the first available pup of the same value, as soon as possible. The original puppy must be returned to the breeder (at purchaser’s expense) before a new puppy can be delivered, no exceptions.
Coat conditions are not guaranteed as they may be a result of environment, allergies, etc.
The puppy is guaranteed against transmissible diseases such as parvovirus, for 7 days from the date of delivery, since the incubation period for such diseases is 5-7 days.
The Purchaser agrees to and understands the following conditions:
Validation of the health guarantee requires that the puppy be examined by a veterinarian (at the purchaser’s expense) within 72 hours of the delivery date of the puppy. This is mandatory in order to confirm that the pup was not sick or injured at the time of delivery.
The purchaser agrees to spay/neuter the pup within 7 months of his/her birth date. Proof of this procedure must be sent to the Breeder in order to complete this contract. Registration papers will be sent to the Purchaser once proof of spay/neuter is received by the breeder.
The Purchaser agrees that the puppy:
Will not be sold, given or donated to any person without the Breeder’s consent.
In the event that the Purchaser is unable to maintain the puppy, the Breeder shall be given first right of refusal.
If the Purchaser wishes to sell the puppy, it must be sold back to the Breeder at a price stipulated by the Breeder and dependant on the condition of the puppy.
The Breeder is NOT responsible for veterinarian bills incurred by the Purchaser regarding the puppy.
The Purchaser further agrees that the puppy :
-Will be kept indoors only.
_Will be regularly vaccinated and receive all necessary veterinary care.
_Will be fed quality food in order to maintain the puppy’s health.
The Purchaser also agrees that if the puppy is neglected, maltreated or is not provided with adequate medical care, the puppy will be surrendered to the Breeder unconditionally and without financial compensation.
I, ______________________, understand and accept that at no time will I attempt to breed from________________________ without prior knowledge and written consent from Dawn Robbins (Akira Kennels). The puppy must be altered by the age of 7 months. If the pup is not altered by this age, a fee of $1000 will be levied against the Purchaser for breech of contract.
It is the sole intention of this contract to protect the well-being of the puppy and to promote the integrity of the breed, as well as protect the interests of both the Breeder and the Purchaser.
Purchaser agrees that this contract is legally binding. Contract disputes that cannot be settled between the Breeder and the Purchaser will be settled in the courts of the
